Our Projects
Finnebrogue is a leading UK-based food producer within the Sofina Foods Group. Operating from four facilities in Downpatrick, Northern Ireland, it supplies major supermarkets with own-label bacon, sausages, burgers, and vegetarian products, as well as its pioneering Naked range made without nitrites.
They made contact with us as they wanted to upgrade their current ice process within one of their factories. They already had three of our machines at another facility, as well as equipment from a competitor. Since this was a different site to their last purchase from us, we offered them a demonstration of our F3AR model, allowing them to compare it directly with the competitor’s equipment. After comparing and as per their other facility, they recognized that our machine was the right choice for their needs.
As the trial went on, they asked for a few modifications to make the machine work perfectly for them. This included changes to the support frame so it could fit their large tote bins, and some adjustments to make sure the equipment would handle their production environment. Our team worked closely with Finnebrogue throughout the process to make sure everything met their needs.
Once the modifications were complete, we installed the first customized machine and frame on site. After testing, the team at Finnebrogue approved the setup, and soon after, they ordered two more machines based on how well the first one performed.
The new Ice Systems machines have now replaced all of their older units, including those from other suppliers. The updated machines have made a big difference, as they’re easier to clean thanks to the built-in hygiene flush, more reliable, and come with full aftersales support from our service team.
Overall, the Ice Systems flake ice machine has ticked all the boxes for Finnebrogue. With a few smart modifications and a lot of teamwork, we were able to deliver a system that fits perfectly into their production area and makes their process cleaner, simpler, and more efficient.
